Troop Fundraising

Troop 2 holds two fundraising events each year for the support of the general Troop. Proceeds are used for materials, equipment, summer camp expenses and to fund volunteer programs in the community.

Pastagetti Dinner (currently postponed)

Boy Scout Troop 2 invites you to their annual Pastagetti Dinner on the second Saturday in September at St. John's Lutheran Church, 101 N. Spring St., Elgin. Dinner will be from 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm. The menu includes all-you -can-eat spaghetti, linguine, lasagna and even mac & cheese! Dinner also includes salad, garlic bread, coffee, iced tea, juice and Colonial Ice Cream are also included. Cost is $ 7 per person, $ 5 for seniors, $ 20 for the family and as always children under 5 are free. Proceeds from this event provide the troop with materials and equipment needed to continue the Boy Scout Troop 2 Program. Troop 2 is very active in our community so come enjoy a delicious dinner and support Troop 2.

Pancake Breakfast

Boy Scout Troop 2 invites the public to its annual Pancake Breakfast on the third Saturday in February from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church, 101 Spring St., Elgin. The menu includes pancakes, eggs, french toast, sausage, coffee, juice, milk and more. Cost is $10 per person, $7 for seniors, and $30 for the family. Children under 5 are free. The troop also operates its large multi-module HO scale train layout during the event. Proceeds provide the troop with summer camp expenses and to fund volunteer programs. Scout Fundraising

Individual Scouts have various opportunities throughout the year to earn money to help pay for camping equipment, monthly camp out fee, summer camp and high adventure camp. Watch for announcement on when the sale begins and ends.
